FOREWORD
The CYTOSAFE-N 2000 cabinet has been designed to protect both the material to be manipulated from contamination and to protect the operator and the environment from cytotoxic contamination and microbial hazards.
CYTOSAFE-N 2000 has been manufactured according to EN12469 and DIN-12980 standards, with about 70% laminar flow recirculated air and 30% exhausted air with prior HEPA filtering.
Built for handling cytotoxic drugs CYTOSAFE-N 2000 is also suitable for the treatment of class CDC-1/2/3, DHSS-C/B1/B2 groups and wherever a product-personnel-environment cross-protection is required.
APPLICATIONS
Cytosafe-N 2000 cabinet is especially suitable for applications such as:
- Preparation and handling of cytotoxic drugs
- Preparation and manipulation of antineoplastic chemo- therapeutics
- Presence of agents likely to cause genetic alterations or synergetic activities with other materials.
Since Cytosafe-N 2000 cabinets meet also EN-12469 as for Class II Biohazard cabinets, they can be used also for:
- Microbiology
- Virology
- Haematology
- Cell culture
- Recombinant DNA
BENEFITS
- CYTOSAFE-N 2000 cabinets monitor work conditions to ensure the correct laminar airflow and a protective air barrier.
- CYTOSAFE-N 2000 is provided with an automatic regulation system to keep the airflow speed (0.4 m/sec) in the work chamber constant. This system counters the effects of the gradual clogging of the three HEPA filters
- CYTOSAFE-N 2000 can be easily serviced through the front panel
- CYTOSAFE-N 2000 has a demountable base stand of 255 mm. Without this stand the cabinet height is 1995 mm and can easily pass through doors of 2 meters height.
TECHNICAL DATA
- AISI-304 working area with radiussed angles and corners and work surface of AISI-316L stainless steel.
- Structure of corrosion resistant epoxy powder painted steel
- Two centrifugal fans, direct driven motors. IP-55 protection factor
- Two absolute HEPA filters with efficiency over 99.995% MPPS, D.O.P. tested
Under the work surface a third HEPA filter, multidihedral type, with efficiency over 99.95% MPPS D.O.P. tested.
- Motor-fans with automatic and independent regulation to keep airflow speed constant
- The microprocessor monitoring system displays all relevant data with regard to the operating functions, the different alarms and the error messages.
- DOP test inlet , IP-44 electric power point, a gas tap with solenoid valve, a manual tap for gas or vacuum available as standard
- Safe and easy replacement of HEPA filters according to DIN-12980 standard.
- AISI –316 work surface partially solid (as standard) or completely perforated (as option) for a better laminarity in the work area.
- Available in 90, 120, 180 cm versions.

U.V. Lamp placed on the aluminium night door.
SPECIAL USES
For special uses a version with activated charcoal filter instead of the multidihedral HEPA filters, located under the work surface, is available.
